Early 20th century French bronze owl paperclip

This early 20th century French bronze paperclip has two plates, the front plate has been cast into an owl with glass eyes and the back plate has a opening in the shape of an upside down keyhole to enable it to be hung. The clip has a spring fulcrum. The reverse of the front plate is stamped "Depose" in an oval cartouche and there is a makers mark stamped in a round cartouche.
